Base Compensation: $40-$50K


Company, located in Westbrook, Maine has an opening for an entry level
electrical project engineer for our Utility/Power group branch office
located in Lewiston, Maine.

Company is one of the oldest, largest, and most experienced electrical
contractors working throughout Northern New England. They provide a
challenging fast paced working environment with the ability to learn and
grow professionally.

The job description entails:

This position will support a senior level project manager handling a multi
year, multi million dollar, distribution substations upgrade EPC contract
for a client in New Hampshire. Responsibilities will include: communicating
with client, subcontractors and vendors, FTTP site and web based file
transfer system management, document controls, supporting the project
manager with: purchasing, estimating, monthly billings, budgeting and job
costing processes. Interaction with jobsite field staff as needed to support
operations.

Basic skills needed for this position are: construction blueprint reading
skills, some knowledge of the electrical construction industry, computer
literacy in Microsoft business software products, a basic understanding of
AutoCAD design software, the ability to learn Timberline construction
accounting/project management software, knowledge of scheduling basics and
the willingness to learn and grow in the electrical construction industry.

Characteristics needed to be successful in this position are: self
motivation, the eagerness and ability to learn, multi-tasking skills,
dependability, and the willingness to be challenged and grow professionally
in the field of electrical construction management.

Salary and benefits are competitive for this area. Position is office based
with occasional travel to jobsites.


Recent graduates in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or Construction
Management are encouraged to apply.



Bottom Line

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction
Management or similar.
2. 0 to 5 years total work experience.
3. Ability to learn Timberline construction accounting/project management
software.

4. Experience in construction blueprint reading, electrical construction
industry, AutoCAD design software is a plus.
